Okay, well…I finally decided that I would do it. I’m going to post a series of photos that show me from before I started this journey (at my heaviest) to today. It’s strange seeing these photos next to each other, and I’m sure those of you who haven’t seen me in a while would never believe that both are the same person. I promise you though, no trickery, no photoshopping, nothing. Pure unadulterated me.
So, here we go….
I started this journey on April 4, 2010. The next photo is about 1 month later after I started my journey…
And 3 months after I started my journey.
another 2 months go by…
And ready for Christmas 2010.
and my 1 year shot. April 2011.
1 year and 6 months.
February 2012, approaching the 2 year mark!
August 2012.
October 2012.
December 2012. Three different shots!

And finally…January 2013.
and TODAY!
So…now that I’ve laid it all out there…quite a transformation huh? Hard to believe how far I’ve come. This is a good reminder of that!
Please feel free to leave comments! I look forward to the discussion that this could spark with all of you!

BRAVO!!!!! LOVE IT!!!! YOU ROCK!!!!! :-*
Thank you!
Congratulations! I find myself on a similar journey and am glad to see a success story.
That’s great! If you ever need to talk about anything, feel free to get ahold of me!
I have known you for many years Jess and this transformation of self is truly inspirational! The smile that you have on your face shows the self satisfactions one can get just by making different choices in ones life. So very proud of you and all that you have accomplished on your life journey thus far. Keep up the great work and remember you always have a fan in me!!!! <3
That means so much to me Chandra! I really appreciate that. Quite a difference from school huh? We should definitely get together!
Quite a journey!! You look awesome. Susan Apel was in (Professor Apel) and I was telling her how great you looked! I’ m not sure she would have recognized you in your present photo…Keep it up!!!! Miss you!
Miss you guys too! I’m not sure she would recognize me either. A lot of people never would but for the fact that they follow me on Facebook.
Good Job Jessica I love it and it is an inspiration to ANY one who says they can’t do it unless they get surgery! Quick fixes are fixes you gotta put in the long hard grueling hours!!
That’s right. You have to put in the work to make it last. I know a lot of people who had surgery who gained a lot of the weight back because they kept up their bad habits. It’s about a lifestyle change!
I actually had tears in my eye’s as I was going through these! All I can say is AMAZING!!!! You should be so proud of yourself! What you did is so hard for so many people and you did it!!! I remember when you started this journey and I remember thinking “you can do this!” I am truly lost for words at how excited I am for you! Keep it up Jessica!! ~ Ashley Ross:)
Awwwe! Ashley! It warms my heart to know that you always had confidence in me! I never had any idea! I appreciate your excitement, it really means a lot to me!
What an inspiration! You’re on an incredible journey and brave enough to document it. Thank you for being a role model and showing everyone that hard work does pay off!!
My main goal in doing this is so that others will know that it is possible. You can do it. You just have to decide that you’re going to and pursue it no matter what!
What a transformation! It is so important for people to see that getting healthy is a process that if you stick with day after day, amazing changes happen. Great job
and that’s what it is about. It’s not about getting thin, or getting skinny….it’s about getting healthy! The skinny part just kind of comes along for the ride!
